It isn't for nothing that many of the most downloaded open source projects are things like gaim that get around annoying vendor lock-in. Apple should have just made the Airport Express show up as a regular audio out that could then be selected in any app. Till then there is <a HREF="http://www.rogueamoeba.com/airfoil/" rel="nofollow">Airfoil</A> which allows any app to stream to the Airport Express (on OS X at least). but really this is a hack around an unnecessary inconvenience.
